Common questions

When does a chicken need calcium most?
Calcium demand peaks from early afternoon until late evening. At this time, feed intake is minimal and meeting the calcium requirement depends on calcium absorbed through feed earlier on.
What makes Morgan Agro seashells a better source of calcium? And a calcium “superfood”?
Morgan Agro seashells contain 34-39% Ca by weight. Also Morgan Agro seashells have a more gradual solubility compared with other calcium sources. That characteristic ensures that a bird gets a supply of calcium when it needs it the most.
Where do the seashells come from?
From a secret location somewhere on the Caspian Sea, in a land far away.
Do the seashells taste salty?
Unfortunately, no. Morgan Agro seashells undergo a thorough washing and heat treatment process before being crushed and packaged. It’s safe to try though. We think they’re kind of bland. And very crunchy!
What about salmonella and e-Coli?
Thorough washing and heat treatment kills all forms of bio active residue on the shells. We employ strict production measures and quality controls to ensure the shells are perfectly safe for hens to eat.
Are there any special conditions for storing Morgan Agro seashells? And is there an expiration date?
Nope. Morgan Agro seashells never spoil or go bad.
How much seashell do I need to feed my laying hens?
Generally we recommend adding 50g of Morgan Agro seashells per 1kg of feed.
